In May this year, Interbacs were pleased to announce that we became a Bacs Approved Bureau after satisfying the governing body of Direct Debits (Bacs) on their inspection, but what does that mean for you, our customers?
Firstly, the Bacs approved bureau scheme (BABS) is for computer bureaux that submit transactions through the Bacs service on behalf of third party organisations (your business). Bacs inspectors review the appropriateness of the Bureau to ensure they meet the standards set by the BABS; these are then recorded in 5 different categories.
- Bureau Organisation and Financial Information
- Physical Security
- Computer Operations
- Applications and Systems Support
- BACS Processing and Operations
Interbacs scored Good-Excellent in these 5 categories on our first inspection.
For you as a customer, it means we can submit Direct Debits to Bacs on your behalf if you’re a newly established business, SME with a relatively low turnover, or even if you only collect a small number of Direct Debit s each month. You may also be unable to fulfil the criteria to make direct submissions to Bacs yourself, we can help!
Why not get in touch for more information on Interbacs becoming a Bacs Approved Bureau, or to see how we can help save you time and money by introducing you to Direct Debits. You can contact us by calling 08444 127 180 or alternatively emailing Sales@Interbacs.com.
