In this ‘In the spotlight’ article, we spoke to Laura Howard, the Director of Finance at Epsom College.
Epsom College have been a customer of Interbacs since early 2016 and currently use our InterPay Software, here is what they think working with Interbacs.
Epsom College is an independent coeducational school delivering exceptional education to children aged 11-18 within a picturesque 85 acre estate.
The breadth of activity on offer at Epsom extends far beyond the classroom. They incorporate a transformative world of sport and music, drama and societies, expeditions and camps, and friendship and laughter. Laura recently began using our robust server based software, InterPay: “We moved to Interbacs from a competitor who wasn’t going to be able to provide the application and support that the College would require in future, such as the latest Bacs internet security requirements (SHA-2).” Laura continued, “Our existing service providers were trying to get us to move to one of their other products that wasn’t suitable for our needs, either in terms of cost or functionality. Interbacs listened to us and guided us towards a product that was not only incredibly well suited to our operations, but also cost effective.”
“The installation process was seamless and we had a dedicated Interbacs contact who provided consistent support throughout the transition. This meant that we could hit the ground running as soon as the software was installed.”
InterPay is a Bacs Approved software which has been adapted to be made compliant with Bacs latest industry requirements. It deals with all credit and debit submission needs, and also has built in functions to download all your Bacs reports and display them in meaningful formats for the user to action.
I asked Laura her thoughts on the solution they opted for, InterPay. “Interbacs listened to us instead of trying to sell us a solution that wouldn’t have suited our business needs,” said Laura. “The product is intuitive to use and most importantly we have confidence in the support that is available to us if we ever experience any issues.”
“The fact that Interbacs are a Bacs approved Bureau and offer a contingency service also added weight to the offering. We now know that there is a back-up in place if we ever have a critical failure resulting in us being unable to use our software.”
“The InterPay Server Software is intuitive and easy to use; it has proved to be a cost effective solution for our business needs.”
Finally, we asked Laura if she was happy with the customer service she experienced. “I have been most impressed by the personal touch that Interbacs offers, having a dedicated contact from my first enquiries until installation helped to make the process very smooth and efficient.
“I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Interbacs to other businesses, in fact I have already done so!”
